CCBCALA is excited to offer the Charlemae Hill Rollins Scholarship. Named after outstanding African American children's librarian, writer, lecturer and educator, Charlemae Hill Rollins (1897-1979), this is a $1,000 award granted to an African American student enrolled in a graduate level library program.
To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
Be African American and a US citizen
Be enrolled in or accepted by an ALA accredited library program
Submit a 500-word essay
Be a member of CCBCALA
Be willing to serve on a CCBCALA committee for 1 year

a copy of your professional resume
a 500-word essay in response to the annual theme
proof of acceptance or enrollment in an ALA-accredited library program
2 letters of recommendation
